A hand cut stencil of the Brighton West Pier
in 5 seperate A3 size sections.
Nearer to the date of the exhibition, it will placed
across 5 20 x 24 inch sections of darkroom paper.
Once the stencil has been exposed for maybe a day
or two and then removed, it should leave a ghostly
impression behind.
I wanted to stay away from the standard photographic
representations of the pier that are so commonly seen.
This will be my way of referencing the fragility of the
remains of the pier, as well as alluding to it as kind
of fading memory.
